THE NATIONAL DOMESTIC CARD SCHEME, AFRIGO
The Central Bank of Nigeria in collaboration with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) launched a National Domestic Card Scheme, AfriGo. The Domestic scheme is aimed at financial services in a more innovative, cost-effective and competitve manner. The scheme would strengthen the usage of electronic platforms in Nigeria in various areas such as payments, identity management and social programs of the government.
